I must confess that I enjoy all of their deep-fried beauties, but this one my favorite.
Prep Time: 15 minutes – Cook Time: 8-12 minutes depending on the size of your fish – Servings: 6
Ingredients needed:
6 Fish fillets can be substituted for chicken
1 ½ C. All-purpose flour
4 Tbsp. Yellow cornmeal
½ tsp. Baking soda
½ tsp. Baking powder
½ tsp. Salt
1 ½ C. Ginger Ale
Oil for frying
How to make this Copycat Long John Silver's Batter recipe:
Step 1. In a bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and ginger ale. Whisk until smooth.

Step 2. Heat the oil to 350 degrees in a deep-sided skillet.
